The Museum of Flight - Seattle
If you like planes or aviation history, The Museum of Flight, just south of downtown Seattle, is a great place to explore. It’s a pretty good sized museum which includes a number of specialized tours and experiences that can be added to the general admission ticket like a Flight Simulator and the Shuttle Trainer tour, so definitely worth at least a couple hours of time to visit.
The Great Gallery is the largest area in the East Campus. There are planes on the floor and hanging in the air and really everywhere.
On the way to the West Campus, you pass the Red Barn, the original Boeing Company location.
The West Campus has the Aviation Gallery, where you can go into a number of full size commercial planes including a 787 and a retired presidential jet plane used by Richard Nixon.
The Aviation Gallery is also connected to the Space Gallery where the NASA Space Trainer is. By tour only, you can go into the front control portion.
