Starbucks Reserve Roastery - Seattle
Seattle is an easy drive from Portland, so I usually go there about once year. The Starbucks Reserve Roastery at 1124 Pike St. opened in 2014, and is definitely an adventure - part coffee roasting factory, part restaurant, part tourist trap. And now in 2018, Starbucks is expanding to have Roasteries in New York, Shanghai, and Milan.
It was super crowded late on a misty Saturday afternoon at the end of June, but nevertheless we forged our way through the crowds and somehow found a seat at one of the bars.
There's also a food area that we didn't go near, so I'm not sure what all they were serving.
We made our way all the way across to the Experience Bar, which is sit down table service, as opposed to the other options which were counter service. And somehow, found a seat at the bar...
Although I don't drink coffee, I do enjoy comparing flavors, so we ordered a flight to give 3 different coffees a try. And although my more discerning coffee-drinking companion was not super impressed by the coffee flavors, it was still a fun experience.
