Beeswing

Beeswing is a newish and rather cute brunch place in Northeast Portland.  It's also really large, especially considering the outdoor seating, if the weather is good.  

There's a small menu with a variety of brunch items and a some yummy looking baked goods at the counter.  The breakfast sando was a nice combination with a soft brioche bun, crispy prosciutto and pickled red onion.

The waffles looked so fabulous that I had to go back to try them.  I'm a sucker for waffles and couldn't resist the towering stack with peaches, blueberries and whipped cream.  They are sourdough and are crispy on the outside and soft inside with a slight sour flavor which is balanced by the sweet fruit and whipped cream.
