Stacked Sandwich

Stacked Sandwich Shop opened this past February and serves up a variety and sandwiches and salads and in a pleasant shop in SE Portland.  The day I was there, all the window were open for a nice inside/outside feel.

A number of the sandwiches on the menu sounded interesting, but I love a turkey sandwich.  And I really wanted to like this Smoked Turkey Club with bacon, avocado, and roasted tomato aioli, but it just didn't have a lot of flavor, which was disappointing.  However, the wedge salad was pretty good with crispy lettuce and creamy dressing.  

I keep hearing great things about Stacked, so I went back for another round.  This time I tried the Cubano with pork, pickles, dijon, and a pineapple relish.  I have to say, it was another miss for me.  Usually I really enjoy cubanos, but the dijon mustard was so strong, that it kept making my eyes water and the bread was very hard and difficult to eat and the pork kept sliding out of the sandwich with each bite.
