La Santissima - Phoenix
Of course, there are lot of taco shops in Phoenix. So how do you choose? Well, fortunately we didn't have to, we just followed my uncle to La Santissima Gourmet Taco Shop. This taco shop has a lot of options, both traditional and fancy, and I suppose that is why it's gourmet.
It was really hard to choose which tacos to order, they had some more traditional meat options, along with some fun veggie options. I finally decided on the fried avocado and the chiles en nogada. The fried avocado was nice and crispy. The chile en nogada wasn't quite what I was expecting, I was thinking there would be more chile, but it was mostly ground beef and sauce and was a bit messy, although it did taste good.
The salsa bar was a highlight, with lots of great salsas to choose from.
And if you don't want tacos, there are options, like burritos and tortas too.
