My favorite places in the world - Venice
In 1996, I set off to Poland for a year in the Rotary International Study Abroad program. I like Poland very much, but it was very cold and gray throughout the winter. In early March, my Dad came to visit me, so we went to Italy, because where else would you go? We took the train from Warsaw to Venice and so Venice was the first place in Italy that I set foot in. It was warm and colorful and just dazzling.
I liked the carless streets and all the narrow, windy roads with bridges everywhere to get lost following. I don't have any great pictures from that trip (so I borrowed one (https://pixabay.com/)), but perhaps I will get back there soon.
