Hama Hama Oyster

Hama Hama Oyster Saloon on Hood Canal in Lilliwaup, WA, is a total treat if you like oysters and beautiful scenery, even on a cold November weekend.

Hama Hama is just north of Hoodsport, and about a 2.5 hour drive from Portland, or 2 hours from Seattle if you go around the sound by road.

For current COVID safer dining, they are set up for reservation only visits on the weekends. They release pre-paid ticketed reservations each week through Tock.

The ticket gets you a covered table and 2 dozen oysters (1 dozen each grillers and chillers). Any additional food and drinks can be ordered once you get checked in.

The dozen grillers and chillers were both really tasty and also totally different from each other. The grillers have a chipotle bourbon butter on them and the chillers arrived with a light and flavorful mignonette that complimented the oysters very nicely.

We ended up ordering an additional dozen grillers and some salmon chowder to finish off our meal.
