Scotch Lodge
Scotch Lodge has a speakeasy vibe from the street, you’d never know there was a packed bar inside. They have an extensive collection of Scotch whisky and American bourbons and a few others too. There is an extensive cocktail list, but since I’m not really a whiskey fan, so I went for the Burnt Sherry Orange Cobbler cocktail with Japanese Whisky, one of the lighter options.
And then there’s the interesting and tasty food menu.
To start, we were debating between the grilled maitake or charred beets. Our server recommended the grilled maitake, so that’s what we went with and it was a good choice. A tasty grilled mushroom with greens on top.
Next up, smoked duck breast. I wasn’t expecting the salad-y presentation, but it was very good. There was a porcini puree and then a nice salad of duck breast, hazelnuts, apples, and greens tossed together.
And last but not least, scallops with salmon roe and yuzu, served with potato chips.
