6 Days in London - Day 6 The Tower of London and London Bridge
The final day, of 6 great days in London…we hadn’t yet gone to the Tower of London (London Pass covered), so that was the first stop, right when it opened at 9am. It’s quite an imposing complex with lots to see, complete with the crown jewels, captive ravens, and a huge museum of armor.
Borough Market, just south of London Bridge is a good sized market, it was completely crowded at lunch time, but we still got a chance to grab a bite to eat and explore the stands a bit.
After lunch, we headed to Tower Bridge (London Pass covered) and took the elevator to the top deck of the bridge. There is a glass floor over part of it, which was entertaining for people who do not have issues with heights.
From there we went to Shakespeare’s Globe Theater for a tour.
The last stop for the trip was a short tour of the Tate Modern, for a dose of modern art.
And for dinner, Poppies Fish & Chips, for some fish and chips, since we hadn’t eaten much British food the entire week. It was passable fish and chips, but we discovered that chips and curry sauce are pretty good together.
