Fishhook - Victoria, BC
Fishhook intrigued me, described as “indo-french sustainable seafood”, it sounded like a great option for dinner on New Year’s Eve. I hadn’t made advance plans, as I wasn’t sure what we would be doing, and I was disappointed when there were no reservation available, but when I woke up in the morning, I checked one more time and found a reservation.
That said, I wasn’t super hungry for dinner that night, but we were looking forward to a nice dinner on the holiday.
The fish chowder was really different from your average chowder and was quite tasty, although I would have liked a bit more salt.
The tikka tuna tataki really hit the spot. I love tuna, and it was nicely seared with sesame crisps and and a chili-lime dressing.
