Ava Genes
If you are looking for great vegetable options and/(or) pasta, go to Ava Genes. It's always busy, so get there early or plan ahead and make a reservation. Sit at the counter and watch the chef's work, which is particularly warm and inviting in the winter with the grill fire roaring.
This salad with celery and castelvetrano olives was a refreshing and light way to start. It was crunchy and flavorful.
For pasta, I chose the carrot agnolotti with butter. Yup, pretty much in a puddle of butter. The pasta was tender and there was plenty of butter to go around. And it was very enjoyable.
And to finish, panna cotta with pine cone syrup. I didn't find the syrup to particularly piney, but the panna cotta was excellently creamy and a happy finish to the meal.
